Home Faecal Blood Test
This faecal blood test is a simple, accurate test that can be used in the privacy of your own home to test for disorders of the bowel.
The test is used to check stool samples for the presence of blood. Blood in the stool sample is an indication of bleeding in the digestive system. Faecal blood can be caused by cancer of the colon, stomach ulcers or a range of other bowel disorders.
This rapid faecal blood test is an Immunochromatographic Assay test. This test is able to detect blood in far far lower concentrations than a conventional Guaiac test.

Further Information about the Home Faecal Blood Test
A three-day diet before the test is not necessary and medication need not be stopped. No false-positive or false-negative results, caused by elements in one's diet or medication, will occur.
The test results take only ten minutes to be ready.
Because polyps (a growth in the colon wall sometimes caused by a cancer) don't bleed continually, it is recommended to take a Faecal blood test repeatedly throughout the year, in order to increase the possibility of "catching" a bleeding polyp.
