Home Prostate Disorder Test

Home Prostate Disorder Test This Prostate Test is quick, simple and can be used in the privacy of your own home.

It can be used as part of a regular screening process to test whether a man's prostate gland is enlarged or cancerous.

The prostate gland influences a man's ability to urinate and can also affect his sexual activity.
If you have been experiencing some difficulty or pain when passing urine, this test can act as a useful first step in identifying whether your symptoms are due to problems with the prostate and enables you to monitor the problem with future checks.

How does the Prostate Test work?

This prostate test has been designed so that you can identify if you have elevated levels of PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) present in your blood. PSA is a chemical that appears in your bloodstream in higher concentrations when the gland is enlarged or cancerous.

The prostate test simply requires a few drops of blood (captured with the easy to use finger pricker included in the test) and within minutes should give you an accurate reading.

What to do if the test is positive?

There are several reasons why PSA concentrations may be above normal levels, the most well publicised being Prostate cancer.
Because this is is a screening test, additional clinical investigations will be needed for a final diagnosis.

If you get a positive result, you should consult your GP, or our online doctor service immediately - early diagnosis significantly improves the outcome of any prostate disorder treatment.
